Greek comedian and filmmaker Aliki Tsakoumi brings her English-language stand-up hour Cosmopolitan to Hoots @ Nicolson Square, Nic 3, from 7–29 August at 14:50.

Living in Sweden and performing in English, Aliki turns accents, Scandinavian rules, Greek family logic, brutal weather and cross-cultural love into stand-up.

Beneath the misunderstandings is a liberating idea: when you have always felt like an outsider, moving abroad can finally make the feeling make sense. A personal hour for anyone who has tried to express themselves in translation.

Aliki Tsakoumi is a Greek comedian and filmmaker based in Sweden. She performs stand-up internationally in English, Greek and Swedish and works across screenwriting, directing and immersive storytelling. Her screen and immersive credits include a BFI Future Film Festival nomination and co-producing the Tribeca Storyscapes-winning project Kusunda.
